Having Problems?

First of all, we apologize for any problems you may be having.  We hope that what we have written here will be able to help you alleviate most problems that may be encountered on this website.  Choose from the following list of problems people frequently run into:

1. This site takes too long to load.
2. I'm getting a page that says "Oops!" 
3. Some of the pages look "funky" or I can't read them properly.
4. Some of the advertisements are offensive!
5. Why so many advertisements?
6. I found a great lesson plan, but I can't find the worksheets!
7. Some of the "Printable" versions won't fit on a page.
8. Some links in the "Printable" versions don't work.

1. It's taking too long for the site to load!

While this could be due to your Internet connection speed, The Lesson Plans Page has a large number of links to lesson plans that may take a long time to download. If it takes awhile for you, we apologize. We have done all we can to pack a large amount of features into as small of a file as possible. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

2. I'm getting a page that says "Oops!"

If you get a this message, one of our links may be incorrect.  If so, please let us know at , and we will try to correct it!  First, try This solution may also be helpful. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

3. Some of the pages look "funky" or I can't read them properly.

While there could be a problem with the way the page is designed, this is most likely due to having an older browser. If the page doesn't look right, try using a newer browser, such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5. Netscape's newer browsers will also work, but some of the visual enhancements may not.

We've done all we can to make sure this site is viewable in all browsers, but unfortunately, we weren't able to make it compatible with 2.0 browsers. All others should be okay. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

4. Some of the advertisements are offensive! 

We apologize for this, but we have little control over certain advertisement rotations.  If you find any advertisements that appear offensive, please notify us at what company it was from and what the content of the ad was.  We will then try to contact the company and see if that advertisement can be taken out of our rotation.  If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

5. Why so many advertisements?

While we want to make your experience as pleasing as possible, this site could not exist without our sponsors. In order to keep the site free, we have to display ads on the site. While it may appear to have a lot of ads (at the top), we have actually tried very hard to limit the number of advertisements on the site. You will notice there are only 1 of each type of ad on the site. We apologize for any inconvenience these ads may cause. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

6. I found a great lesson plan, but I can't find the worksheets!

Many of the lesson plans on this site were donated by our users. Often times they did not provide the worksheets for their lesson plans. In this case, there isn't much we can do. You may want to email the author of the lesson plan if his or her email address is listed at the bottom of the lesson plan. Most of our lesson plans (and all of our newer ones) have all the required worksheets. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

7. Some of the "Printable" versions won't fit on a page.

While most of these versions have been optimized to fit on a page, there are a few that will not fit properly due to older HTML issues. These may prevent them from fitting, but they are required to preserve the original formatting of the lesson plan. You may want to try to highlight the text with your mouse, go to Edit->Copy and then go to a text editor like Microsoft Word and go to Edit->Paste. Then you can print the copied text through Microsoft Word or another text editor! If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.

8. Some links in the "Printable" versions don't work.

The Printable versions of the lesson plans are only designed to be used for printing. The links may not work because they are not meant to be used for navigating through the site. If you need to use the links, click on them in the regular version of the lesson plan. They should be correct there. If you are having a different problem, look at the questions again.
